AJT Johnsingh was one of the leading mammalogists in South Asia and served as the Dean, Faculty of Wildlife Sciences, Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun. He had many scientific publications to his credit and his experiences in the wild were put together in several books. He died on 7 June 2024.
